Founder of Prairie Bus Lines.
(1927 – 2012)

In 1957, Robert B. Colborne purchased Sorenson Bus Lines in Red Deer, Alberta and renamed it Prairie Bus Lines. Prairie Bus Lines became the founding member company of the Pacific Western Group of Companies wich remains a family owned business.

Prairie Bus Lines is the service provider of choice in Central Alberta. We proudly serve the growing transportation needs in the City of Red Deer and surrounding communities in Central Alberta.

Whether you require daily student transportation, charter services for your group, sports team or industrial employee transportation to worksites; Prairie Bus Lines is dedicated to safe, reliable and courteous transportation services. Our equipment includes a large fleet of school buses, executive coaches, and we are the official carrier of the WHL Red Deer Rebels hockey team!

Prairie Bus Lines is nationally recognized and certified by the Motor Carrier Passenger Council of Canada. We are proud to be COR certified and industry-wide recognized by our safety standards.
